Homestay or room in private residence

Whether you are an International Student, a student from another part of Australia, a member of a sports team or just someone looking to live with a family on the Gold Coast, StudyGoldCoast HomeStay will find HomeStay to suit your needs.

Family

HomeStay is a great way for International Students to experience an Australian way of life. They will be fully immersed in the culture and families converse with the students therefore greatly improving their English and many will help with homework.

For students who are coming from other parts of Australia, HomeStay is a way to live and study on the Gold Coast without the problems of looking for rental accommodation, bonds, electricity and other utility bills. HomeStay offers a comfortable home with all facilities - a home away from home close to your place of study.

Sporting groups or people looking to be billeted can be catered for where StudyGoldCoast HomeStay & Accommodation will find families with the same interests and nearby to sporting venues.

Many students have some wonderful stories to tell about the great time they have had with their HomeStay family. The student is treated as a member of the family who offer support and care as they would for their own children.

All our families have been screened and many have hosted students who want to return to the families when they come back to Australia and who keep in touch when they do return to their home country.

Host Families will provide either 2 or 3 meals a day and packed lunches depending upon the student's requirements.

Students are placed with families who are around 15 - 30 minutes bus-ride from their place of study. Over 18 students who are more independent would normally catch the bus although transport can be provided.

The family also can offer advice on things to do and where to go and will help you to find out how to get around.

Students have access to a HomeStay Co-ordinator via a mobile phone or email 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Their HomeStay & Accommodation Co-ordinator will offer assistance with regards to all accommodation issues and where the student actually requires other services, the Co-ordinator will assist the student in making contact with the relevant person or organisation.

The price for HomeStay per week is between $170.00 and $205.00 depending upon the services provided.
